How to Update Emsisoft Aplication 1-8887203203 Update new version
To PREVENT this and
similar issues going further into the future, I recommend setting the Emsisoft
update feed option to ‘Delayed’ on your clients’ computers (especially for file
servers!) This setting will then only install updates that are “stable” and
have already been “tested”. Emsisoft protected systems will now only
receive these pre-tested stable updates, and will prevent similar issues. Below
is the immediate fix for systems with the Emsisoft.
The following should be the simplest way to resolve the issue:
Ignore all requests to restart your computer until specifically
stated in these instructions.
1. Open Emsisoft
Anti-Malware.
2. Click on ‘Settings’ in
the menu at the top
3. Click on ‘Updates’ in
the menu at the top.
4. On the left, under
“Update Settings”, click on the box to the right of “Update feed” and select
“Beta” from the list.
5. Click on the “Update
now” button on the right side.
6. If it asks you to
restart your computer, then go ahead and allow it to be restarted.
7. Once your computer is
running again, open Emsisoft Anti-Malware again.
8. Click on ‘Settings’ in
the menu at the top.
9. Click on ‘Updates’ in
the menu at the top.
10. On the left, under
“Update Settings”, click on the box to the right of “Update feed” and select
“Stable” from the list.
11. Click on the “Update
now” button on the right side.
12. If it asks you to
restart your computer, then go ahead and allow it to be restarted.
